IMATH-ELEVATE PROJECT SELECTED FOR 2025 MSSF SUPPORT
Teach Girls Tech Foundation is excited to announce that IMATH-ELEVATE has been selected for the 2025 Mathematical Sciences Sponsorship Fund (MSSF) supported by Elsevier.
IMATH-ELEVATE introduces game-based learning, coding, abacus, robotics, and low-cost digital tools to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning in public primary and junior secondary schools. The project focuses on practical teacher training, inclusive classroom practices, and student engagement.
Implementation will take place in selected schools across Rivers State, featuring teacher workshops, online learning sessions, classroom activities, monitoring, and a teacher innovation challenge culminating in a closing competition.
We are grateful to Elsevier for the support and look forward to sharing progress and impact as the project unfolds.

TGT Foundation celebrates International Day of Education with an International Cross Exchange Hackathon featuring IMSA USA

On January 24, marking the International Day of Education, the MayCreatorz STEAM Initiative (MCS Initiative) now registered Teach Girls Tech (TGT) Foundation founded by Ejiroghene May John hosted a bi-national hackathon titled “A Cross-Cultural Exchange Network Event.”
Students of the SWENext Club at the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA) collaborated with learners from Community Secondary School (CSS) Olanada, Nigeria, to solve real-world problems using AI, coding, HTML, and computer science.
The event engaged 50 students and 7 teachers from CSS Olanada, with virtual participants joining from Nigeria, Zambia, Kenya, and beyond—creating a truly global learning experience.
Plans were announced for a second series in late February, with a goal to secure 5–10 laptops to support hands-on training.
A powerful reminder of how global collaboration can expand access to future-ready STEM education. 🌐✨
